"A piece authored by an esteemed professor and the Director of the Intellectual Property Law Program at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco headlines this Issue. In this fine piece entitled Reason or Madness: A Defense of Copyright’s Growing Pains, Professor Marc H. Greenberg demonstrates his expertise in Copyright Law. The Article explores the current scope of Copyright protection and does a marvelous job of addressing the seven major criticisms of expansive Copyright protection. Similarly, the Article discusses a recent effort at legislative reform, The Orphan Works Act of 2006. Despite the criticisms, controversies, and attempted reform, Professor Greenberg suggests Copyright expansion, although not perfected, is the reasonable result of the evolutionary relationship between the creators and owners of expressive works."
